SoundWave Pro 2000 (Ver. 1) Windows ME Installation ESS Allegro 1898 chipset 1. Insert SoundWave Pro 2000 sound card to an available PCI slot and startup the computer 2. Windows ME will automatically detect the sound card and install the ESS Allegro PCI Audio (WDM) driver 3. Download the Windows ME update driver from www.siig.com 4. Double click the driver and click the UNZIP icon to decompress it into C:\SIIG folder 5. Go Control Panel/System/Device Manger/Sound, Video, & Game controller and double click at the ESS Allegro PCI Audio (WDM) icon 6. Go to the Drivers tab and click at the Update Driver icon 7. At the Update Device Driver Wizard, select "Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)" and click Next 8. Uncheck the check box of "Removable Media", check "Specify a location", and click at the Browse icon 9. Highlight the C:\SIIG folder and hit the OK icon 10. Hit Next icon at the Update Device Driver Wizard 11. Under "What would you like to install?", select One of the other drivers and hit the View List icon 12. Select the driver from C:\SIIG and hit Next until Digital Signature Notification Windows comes up 13. Select the Advanced icon 14. Under Digital Signature Advanced Settings, select "Warn when installing unsigned devices" and hit OK 15. Under all the "Do you want to continue installation", select YES and hit OK. 16. Windows ME will automatically update the driver 17. When finished, restart the computer accept the new settingDownload Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
