1. Introduction
===============

AZZA System Viewer is handy utility to gather information about your AZZA System board BIOS and the Windows OS your are running. 
It collects BIOS information, including some data normally not displayed by other utilities. This data is important to know when updating or troubleshooting your system BIOS. 
Also it reports information about your Windows OS.

AZZA System Viewer allows to report the information it colected by
- Copying it to clipboard
- Filing it out as text file
- Printing it

This make it very easy to list BIOS and Windows OS information when reporting a problem to AZZA Pro Team techncial support.
Don't forget to use it.


2. Running instructions
============================


2.1 - Supported OS
  - Win95
  - Win98  
  - Win ME
  - NT 4.0 with service pack 3 (or later) 
  - Win 2000
  - Win XP (pre-release)

2.2 - Requirements
None

2.3 - Running procedure
Select Azza System Viewer  in Azza Installation Menu or run AZZASystemViewer executable from AzzaSystemViewer  folder on the CD.



3. Operation Instructions
=========================

3.1 - Menu Usage

Viewer/Exit - Exits program
About       - Shows Pogram Information Dialog 

3.2 Tool bar usage 
See icon pop-up help.
Point to an icon with your mouse and after some time help information will pop-up .
Tool bar functions include
- Exit program
- Show About information
- Copying system info to clipboard
- Filing system info out as text file
- Printing system info
- Running help file


3.3 BIOS Tab Usage 

AZZA System Viewer is designed to work with Award BIOS released by AZZA. 
If AZZA System Viewer detects you have a none AZZA motherboard  it will display a message box with a close button and button to go to AZZA Website. After 5 seconds viewing this message the program will try to establish a connection to the AZZA Website to show available products. 
Please note that if your system has a different BIOS, AZZA System Viewer will still try to collect information. In this case the information shown may make no sense at all.

BIOS information:
Name      - BIOS Name , always should start with Award
ID        - Award BIOS ID assigned to this BIOS, 
AZZA Bios - If BIOS ID contains P8, the AZZA identifier or not.
Copyright - Award copyright string 
BootBlock - If this Award BIOS contains a BootBlock 
Media Size - Approximation of flash memory size used for this BIOS

Signon  string - String displayed at start up on top of screen.
                 This string shows AZZA models supported
Release date   - Date of release by AZZA, as listed i nSignon string
                 Note: This date is not necessarily the same as the Product date
Product ID     - String displayed at start up on bottom of screen.
                 Format 
                 [Award release date]-[Chipset ID string]-[BIOS ID]-[version number]
Product Date   - Date Award released this BIOS         
                 Note: This date is not necessarily the same as the Release date


3.4 - System Tab
Displays data from Windows OS on
- Detected CPU
- Detected Physical memory 
   Note: This might be less then the real physical memory 
         if e.g. shared VGA memory is used
- OS version, build information

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
