EPSON TWAIN Uninstall Utility README file

1. Description

  This utility uninstalls the EPSON TWAIN driver.
  Before using this utility, please read this file 
  and follow the instructions carefully.


2. Uninstalling EPSON TWAIN

<<For Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 users>>

  1. Click the Start button, point to Programs, point to EPSON 
     Scanners, then click Uninstall EPSON TWAIN. 
  2. Run the Esuninst.exe file from the Scanner Software CD-ROM.
  3. Restart your computer.

   NOTE: To uninstall the driver in Windows NT 4.0, you must have
   sufficient access rights. Log on as Administrator if you cannot 
   remove the driver.


<<For Windows 98 and Windows 2000 users>>

  1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click 
     Control Panel. Then double-click the Scanners and Cameras icon.
  2. Remove the scanner from the device list.
  3. Run the Esuninst.exe file from the Scanner Software CD-ROM.
  4. Unplug the scanner from your computer and restart your computer.

   NOTE: To uninstall the driver in Windows 2000, you must have
   sufficient access rights.  Log on as Administrator if you cannot 
   remove the driver.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
