If you notice this problem, we recommend that you install the LAN+Modem card only in the computer's main card slots. Problem: Unable to ping between two installed LAN cards This could be a problem with how the IP addresses are bound. Bind one card to a static IP address. For the other, set networking to specify the IP address automatically. Problem: System refuses to enter suspend mode while a communications application is running The LAN+Modem card does not support forcing the system into suspend mode while a communication application (such as HyperTerminal) is running. Windows environments reject suspend-mode requests in such instances. After the suspend-mode failure, the LAN interface may no longer show up in the system as a valid device. If this happens, try one of the following: - Close all programs and log in as a different user. - Remove the card from the computer, reinsert it in the same slot, and run Suspend/Resume again. Problem: Could not install the card because system could not find a valid .INF file; or, card is not recognized by system. This is a BIOS problem. Contact your computer vendor for information on obtaining and installing the latest BIOS version for your computer.
