WINDOWS 2000 speed-star Installation of the driver 1. Plug in the speed-star in a free PCMCIA slot. 2. The speed-star is a plug & play device and is automatically recognized as new hardware by your computer. In the Window "Add New Hardware Wizard" click on "Next". Plug in the speed-card in a free ISA slot After the driver-installation. 2. The speed-card is not a plug & play device and is not automatically recognized as new hardware by your computer. 3. When the "Add New Hardware"-Wizard has started, click on "Next" and in the next Window the same. Choose now "No, I want to select the hardware from a list" and click on "Next". Mark "Other Devices" and click "Next". Now click on "Have Disk..." and enter the path for the installation from the driver's directory and confirm with "OK". Mark "ISDN Adapter (ISA)" and click on "Next". In the following window you must write down the suggested resources for IRQ and I/O-Range. Follow the Installation Guide. 4. If you are requested, put in the Windows 2000 - CD. Note: For the usage of "dial-up networking" (e.g. internet access) you have to install the CAPI-RAS-driver. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CAPI-RAS Win2000 Installation of the CAPI-RAS-driver. The CAPI-RAS-driver makes it possible for you to establish connections via dial-up networking, for example to your internet service provider. First of all ensure that the ISDN-drivers are installed. Then proceed as follows: In order to install the CAPI-RAS-driver open the "Add/Remove Hardware"-Wizard in the Control Panel and click on "Next". On the following page "Choose a Hardware Task" you mark "Add/Troubleshoot a device" and confirm with "Next". The following search for "New Hardware Detection" has no relevance for the installation of the CAPI-RAS-driver. Now mark on the page "Choose a Hardware device" the entry "Add a new device" and press "Next". On the page "Find new Hardware" click the point "No, I want to select the hardware from a list" and press "Next". On the page "Hardware Type" mark the entry "Network adapters" and choose "Next". Click on "Have Disk" and indicate "<driver>\capiras\win2000" as source path (<driver> is the driver's directory!). Confirm with "OK". Mark only the entry "CAPI 2.0 RAS-driver", choose "Next" and finally, press the button "Finish". The CAPI-RAS-driver is now installed with the standard configuration.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
