 Requirements

     An ISA compatible computer
     Microsoft's Windows 95
     Netware Client 32 for Windows 95  (OR)
     Netware Client 32 for DOSWIN
     A TE-16XP Ethernet Adapter
     A knowledge of basic Win 95 commands and editing text files

     A knowledge of basic Win 95 commands
     A knowledge of editing text files
     A knowledge of Win 95 basic file structure
     A knowledge of the network driver configuration being used

    Notes: Please specify I/O adress and IRQ, when your adapter in
           non-PnP mode.


    Client 32 for Windows 95
    ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ

    The Windows 95 installation disks or CD are need to complete this
    install.

    The NOVELL Client 32 installation disks or CD are needed to complete
    this install.


    First Time Installation (1)
    ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
         Install adapter in your system slot.
         Run the Client 32 for Windows 95 installation program,
          using SETUP.EXE.

          Ex. Open File Explorer and click SETUP.EXE under Client 32
              for Windows 95 source directory.

         Check the box of "Upgrade NDIS drivers to ODI automatically,
          if avaiable" and press "Start>".
         Following Client 32 for Windows 95 installation instruction.
         Click "Yes" under "Recommended Netware Client 32 Properties"
          window.
         Specify Netware Prefered server name.
         Reboot the system and connect to Netware server.


    First Time Installation (2)
    ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
         Install adapter in your system slot.
         Start Windows 95 system then will found the adapter and load
          NDIS 3 driver automaticlly.
         Click on "My Computer" -> "Control Panel" -> "Network" ->
          "Remove" button to delete the old driver.
         Don't reboot your system.
         Run the Client 32 for Windows 95 installation program,
          using SETUP.EXE.

          Ex. Open File Explorer and click SETUP.EXE under Client 32
              for Windows 95 source directory.

         Check the box of "Upgrade NDIS drivers to ODI automatically,
          if avaiable" and press "Start>".
         Following Client 32 for Windows 95 installation instruction.
         Click "Yes" under "Recommended Netware Client 32 Properties"
          window.
         Specify Netware Prefered server name.
         Reboot Windows 95 system then will found the adapter and load
          Client 32 driver automaticlly.
         Click on "My Computer" -> "Control Panel" -> "Network" ->
          "Remove" button to delete the NE2000 driver.
         Reboot Windows 95 system again and connect to Netware server.


    The other Time Installation
    ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
         The Client 32 for Windows 95 have been install successfully.
         Click on "My Computer" -> "Control Panel" -> "Network" ->
          "Remove" button to delete the old driver.
         Restart Windows 95 system then the system and will found the
          adapter and load Novell Client 32 driver automatically.
         Restart Windows 95 system again.


    Install from released Diskette
    ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
         Start both Windows 95 and Client 32 for Windows 95 system.
         Click on "My Computer" -> "Control Panel" -> "Network" ->
          "Remove" button to delete the old driver.
         From the "Network" window, click on "Add".
          The program prompts for the component type.
         Double-click on "Adapter".
         Select "Have Disk...".
         Specify the full path of the driver, ie. A:\<PATH>.
          The program displays a network adapter list.

          Ex. A:\NETWARE\CLIENT32\WIN95

         Select "TRENDnet TE-16XP Ethernet Adapter".
         Select "OK" when finished
         After specifying any settings, click OK on the properties page
          to close the network windows.
         The system will require some of the Windows 95 disks and Client
          32 for Windows 95 to install network support.
         After copying the necessary files, select "Yes" to restart your
          system.


    Non-PnP Adapter
    ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
         Start both Windows 95 and Client 32 for Windows 95 system.
         Click on "My Computer" -> "Control Panel" -> "Network" ->
          "Remove" button to delete the old driver.
         From the "Network" window, click on "Add".
          The program prompts for the component type.
         Double-click on "Adapter".
         Select "TRENDnet" in Manufactures windows.
         Select "TRENDnet TE-16XP Ethernet Adapter" in Network Adapters
          windows.
         Select adapter "IRQ" and "port".
         Reboot Windows 95 system and connect to Netware server.



    Client 32 for DOSWIN
    ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ

    Windows 3.x
    ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
         Start Windows 3.x system
         Run the Client 32 for DOSWIN installation program, using
          SETUP.EXE

          Ex: >CD \<PATH>           ; <PATH> is Client 32 for DOSWIN
              >SETUP.EXE

              or

              Double click SETUP.EXE in Files Manager windows

         Press ENTER to accept the argeement.
         Specify your target directory.

          Ex. C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32    ; If choice C driver.

         Select "TRENDnet TE-16XP Ethernet LAN Driver".
         Restart your workstation, click "Netware Login" to login
          Netware server from NetWare Tools.

    DOS
    ÄÄÄ
         Run the Client 32 for DOSWIN installation program, using
          INSTALL.EXE.

          Ex: >CD \<PATH>           ; <PATH> is Client 32 for DOSWIN
              >INSTALL.EXE

         Press ENTER or YES to accept the argeement.
         Select "Netware Client 32 for DOS".
         Use default value in Customize Support for Windows,
          if you Select "Netware Client 32 for Windows" too.
          Press "F10" to continue.
         Select "32-bit LAN drivers" from LAN Driver Type window.
         Select "USER SPECIFIED 32 BIT DRIVER".
         Specify the full path of the driver, ie. A:\<PATH>.

          Ex. A:\NETWARE\CLIENT32\DOSWIN

         Select "TRENDnet TE-16XP Ethernet LAN Driver" from 32-Bit
          Network Board Drivers window.
         Specify "Frame Type","Noed Address","Port" setting, then press
          "F10" to save.

           Ex. Default value as below
               Frame Type is Ethernet_802.2
               Port       is 300

         Press "F10" to continue in Installation Configuration Summary
          window, if you accept.
         AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS will be update after installation.
         Restart your workstation and load the NetWare networking
          software, it will connect to Netware server.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
