How to install Audio driver in Windows 2000

1. Insert the Notebook support CD.
2. Double click [My Computer], double click [Control Panel],
double click [System].
3. Select [Hardware] Tab, then click on [Device Manager].
4. Double click on [Multimedia Audio Controller].
5. Select [Driver] Tab, then click on [Update Driver].
6. Click on [Next>] twice.
7. Please only Choice [Specify a location] for Optional search locations:
,then click on [Next>]
8. Click on [Browse...] to locate the Audio driver from the support CD,
the path is: \Audio\Win2000, then click [Open].
9. Click on [OK] to confirm Install From Disk.
10. Click on [Next>] to confirm smwdm.inf for new driver.
11. Click on [Yes] to confirm Change driver to [SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio].
12. Click on [Finish] to finish install.
13. Click on [Close], then click on [Yes] to restart your computer for audio driver to
take effect.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
