ASUS Stereoscopic Driver for OpenGL ------------------------------------ Important notes before you start to play STEREO games: 1. You must select higher resolutions for stereo modes. For example, 1280x960 -> 640x480 stereo mode 1280x1024 -> 640x480 stereo mode 1600x900 -> 800x600 stereo mode 1600x1200 -> 800x600 stereo mode 2048x1536 -> 1024x768 stereo mode (16-bit color only) 2. ViewAngle is the parameter for the feeling of depth. The larger Embossment value will make objects run out of screen. Notes/Known issues for specific games ------------------------------------- Limitation for all applications: 1. If your application uses the characters composed of thin lines, the characters could be fuzzy/unreadable when you turn on stereoscopic mode. 2. Currently ASUS AGP-V3400TNT user is recommended to use 1280x960/1280x1024 16-bit color mode as stereoscopic mode due to less available video memory. MDK 2: Limitation 1. You must select either "Use block transfer" of Buffer flipping mode option or "Always off" of Vertical sync option on the OpenGL page of display properties- Advanced-Advanced-OpenGL. Otherwise you will see flashing triangles on playing scene. 3D Pipes Screen Saver: Limitation 1. There will be black screen when you set Pipe option to "Multiple". Quake 2: Limitation 1. You must select either "Use block transfer" of Buffer flipping mode option or "Always off" of Vertical sync option on the OpenGL page of display properties- Advanced-Advanced-OpenGL. Otherwise you will see flashing triangles on playing scene. Quake 3: Limitaion 1. The model for player is showed once(on the image of one eye) when you enter "Control" menu of Quake 3. 2. Note for V3400 users: Please select "Vertex" in Setup\System\Graphics\Lighting option of Quake 3 menu for less texture usage. Unreal Tourament: 1. Please select "Double" option in MENU "Options-Preferences-Video-Font Size" Unreal: Wheel of Time: 1. There are some garbage lines around the boundary of screen. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
