%1.  About "$" File
	A file named "$" in the WinSFX32M self-extracting archive file is
	used as a specification file used to extract files.

%2.  Command Format
    $<command>=<setting>[,<setting>...]
	A row prefixed with a '$' is treated as a command.
	Commands could either be in upper or lower case. Do not put
	  spaces between
	'$' and command name and between command name and '='.

	All spaces are treated as spaces.
	To use separator character ',' surround it with double quotation
	  marks. (eg. ",")

%3.  Description
    $WindowTitle=<title string>
	Display SFX dialog title.
	Entries in SFX Setting dialog box are ignored when this command is
	specified.
    $InstallTitle=<title string>
	Set title of 'Extract to' edit box.
	Entries in SFX Setting dialog box are ignored when this command is
	specified.
    $InstallDir=<default value>
	Set default extraction directory.
    $ClassTitle=<title>
	Set to link and specify title of link check dialog box.
	Class command must also be specified with this command.
    $Class=<ext>,<Title>,<name>,<key>
	Set links. Link definition will not be used by DDE.
      ext :     extension. Must start with '.'
      title :   description
      name :    program file to link to. If path name may be omitted,
		extraction path will be used.
      key :     registry key.

       Following keys are created under HKEY_CLASS_ROOT

    $GroupTitle=<title>
	Specify to enter icon in startup menu and set display menu entry
	check box title.
	On Win32s systems, group will be created.
	$Group command must also be set when using this command.
    $Group=<Group>,<Title>,<name>,[<name2>]
	Set group and dialog box title.
      Group :   Group menu title. Folder will be created in the Program
		folder
      Title :   Icon title
      name  :   File name
      name2 :   Name of an icon file if different from program file.
		Must be in the same directory as file set by "name".
    $Command=<command>
	Command to execute after extracting files. Setting from
	SFX dialog box will be ignored.

%4.  Directory Variable String
	Following parameters may be set to specify extraction
	/archiving directories.
    %WORK%	    Directory to create temporary files
    %WinDir%	    Windows directory
    %SystemDir%	    Windows System directory
    %ProgramFiles%  Directory where programs are stored in Win95
		    and WinNT4.0.
		    On Win32s system, root directory where Windows3.x
		    is installed.
    %Search%	    Search for a file. SearchPath() is used to search.
		    If find can not be found, %System-Dir% directory
		    will be used.
		    Used to install DLL. It is usually not extraction
		    directory but path to look for to archive files.
	When these variables are defined, "Include Directory" option
	must be selected in the SFX Setting dialog box.
	These variables may be specify only to create WinSFX32M files.

%5.  "$" File Examples

;	%Search% variable is used to install DLLs. So, 'x' option should
;	be specify when creating an SFX.
;	Installation message may be set by specifying '!'.

;  Example is based on C:\Program Files\EZMelt95, an Windows LHA utility.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
