Follow the steps below to install the video drivers under NT.

1) Start NT in VGA mode.
2) Click Start, Settings then Control Panel.
3) Double Click the Display Icon.
4) On the Display Properties windows, click the Settings Tab.
5) Click the Display Type... button.
6) In the Adapter Type section, click the Change button.
7) The Change Display window appears, click the Have Disk button.
8) In the Install From Disk box, type in the directory where the files were uncompressed. 
9) Click ATI Xpert98D AGP 2X from the list.
10) A Third Party Driver windows will appear, click Ok to proceed. 
11) Click Ok at the Installed Driver windows.
12) Click Close at the Display Type windows.
13) Click the Test button on the Display Properties windows.
14) A Testing Mode window will appear, click Ok to proceed.
15) A test pattern will appear for 5 seconds, then a dialog box will appear. 
    If the bitmap was seen properly, click Yes.
16) Click the Close button on the Display Properties screen.
17) A window will appear to restart the computer, click Yes.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
