Follow these steps to install or reinstall the drivers for the DVD Decoder w/TVout card.

To reinstall the DVD Decoder drivers follow the steps below.

 1) Click Start, Setting, Control Panel.
 2) In Control Panel, double click the System icon.
 3) Click the Device Manager tab.
 4) Double click the Sound, video and game controllers.
 5) Click and highlight the Hardware CineMaster 98 (C 3.0).
 6) Click the Properties button.
 7) A new window appears, click on the Driver tab.
 8) Click the Update Driver button.
 9) An Update Device Driver Wizard window appears, click the Next> button.
10) Click the "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, 
    so you can select the driver you want" and then click the Next> button.
11) Click the Have Disk button.
12) Under "Copy manufacturer's files from", type C:\DVD and click OK.
13) A Select Device window will appear with "Hardware CineMaster 98 (C 3.0)" highlighted, 
    click OK.
14) A Update Driver Warning window appears, click the Yes button.
15) Click the Next> button, an Insert Disk windows appears, click OK.
16) A Copying Files window appears, under Copy files from: type C:\DVD and click OK.  
17) Files will be copied.
18) Click the Finish button the windows will disappear, then click the Close button.
19) A New Hardware Found windows will appear briefly, then an Insert Disk window, click OK.
20) A window appears asking for the Windows 98 files.  Either insert the Win98 CD
    and type D:\WIN98 or C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CAB.  Click the OK button.
21) A version conflict message may appear, if so just click the Yes button.
22) The drivers are reinstalled.
23) To install the DVD application, Click Start, Run and type C:\DVD\SETUP.

To install the DVD Decoder drivers after a Windows 98 installation, follow the steps below.

 1) Click Start, Setting, Control Panel.
 2) In Control Panel, double click the System icon.
 3) Click the Device Manager tab.
 4) Under "Other devices", click and highlight the PCI Multimedia Device.
 5) Click the Properties button and then the Driver tab.
 6) Click the Update Driver button, then click the Next button
 7) Click the "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can 
   select the driver you want" and then click the Next> button.
 8) A window appear with Other devices highlighted, click the Next> button.
 9) Click the Have Disk button.
10) Under "Copy manufacture's files from: type C:\DVD and click OK.
11) An Update Device Driver Wizard window will appear with "Hardware CineMaster 98 (C 3.0)" 
    highlighted, click the Next> button.
12) Click the Next> button, files will be copied.
13) Click the Finish button, then the Close button.
13) A New Hardware Found windows will appear briefly, then an Insert Disk window, click OK.
14) A window appears asking for the Windows 98 files.  Insert the Microsoft Windows 98 CD
    and type D:\WIN98.  Click the OK button.
15) A version conflict message may appear, if so just click the Yes button.
16) The drivers are reinstalled.
17) To install the DVD application, Click Start, Run and type C:\DVD\SETUP.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
