INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the Dell 1500FP Flat Panel Monitor.
This file provides brief instructions on how to use the
contents of this disk to setup and adjust your Dell 1500FP
Flat Panel Monitor. The files contained on this disk include:
README.TXT Instruction file you are reading now.
FPADJUST.EXE Flat Panel Adjust installation program. This
program will install a small utility used to
adjust and optimize the Flat Panel Display to
your system. It is strongly recommended that
you use this program to get the best results.
1500FP.INF Information file used by Windows 95 and
Windows 98 to determine the correct timing
and refresh rates for the monitor.
1500FP.ICM Color mapping file used by Windows 98 to
display the correct colors.
STEP 1 Setup the Flat Panel Monitor with the operating system:
WINDOWS 98 - In most cases, Windows 98 will auto-detect
the new monitor and automatically setup
the correct parameters.
To manually install or update the driver,
click on START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL,
DISPLAY, SETTINGS tab, ADVANCED, MONITOR
tab, CHANGE. This will start the "Update
Device Driver Wizard". Follow the prompts
to install the driver.
WINDOWS 95 - Click on START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL,
DISPLAY, SETTINGS tab, CHANGE DISPLAY TYPE,
CHANGE MONITOR TYPE, HAVE DISK. Install
the Dell 1500FP.
WINDOWS NT4 - Windows NT does not auto-detect "Plug and Play"
Monitors and does not use the monitor *.INF
file. Therefore no monitor driver installation
is required.
STEP 2 Set the display resolution to 1024x768 pixels with maximum
color depth at this resolution.
WINDOWS 95, Click on START, SETTINGS,CONTROL PANEL,
98, & NT4 DISPLAY,SETTINGS tab and use the slide control
to set the resolution to 1024x768.
STEP 3 Install the Flat Panel Adjust Software.
WINDOWS 95, Click on START, RUN and type A:\FPADJUST and
98, & NT4 press ENTER (or Click OK). Follow the prompts
to install the software.
STEP 4 Run the Flat Panel Adjust Software by double-clicking on the
Dell Flat Panel Adjust Icon on the desktop. Follow the
instructions in the program.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
