Run the Windows NT Display program located in the Control Panel, under "Settings" in the Start menu. Alternatively, position the cursor on the background of the desktop, click the right mouse button, then select "Properties" from the popup menu. 2. Select the "Settings" page. 3. Select "Display Type...". 4. Select "Change..." from the display options. 5. Select "Have Disk..." 6. NT will prompt you for the correct path, enter A:\ where A: is the drive containing the mach64 Driver Disk. 7. A list of ATI graphics accelerators will be displayed. Select the "ATI Technologies Inc 3D Rage II+" driver, then click on the "OK" button. 8. Windows NT will once again prompt for confirmation. All appropriate files are then copied to the hard disk. 9. Restart Windows NT. Windows NT will start up using the mach64 drivers. 10. NT will boot into a default mode and start the Display applet allowing for mode selection. Note: If you select a color depth or resolution not supported by your card, NT will substitute 640x480 in 256 colors for the display. ----------------------------------------- End of Installing and Running ATIGRADVRNT ----------------------------------------- -------------------------- ATIGRADVRNT Known Problems -------------------------- Some applications do not handle 24bpp and 32bpp properly resulting in the colors not looking right. What to do if "ACCELERATOR not found" message appears: Is there another adapter card in the system that CONFLICTS with I/O locations in the 350-35F hex range? Relocate the I/O to 300 to 31F range. Attempting to run the mach64 Install program under NT will report "Mach64 Adapter not detected". The Install program must be run from DOS. AGP cards will not work unless the NT 4.0 Service Pack 3, or greater, is installed. Intergraph Bulletin Board Service (IBBS): Available to all software customers. IBBS enables you to exchange messages and files with Inter- graph's technical and marketing staff, as well as with other Intergraph customers, using a modem. As an added benefit, for U.S. customers with valid maintenance contracts or pro- ducts under warranty, problem worksheets can be logged on IBBS: 1. Connect to the IBBS by setting the communication pro- tocol to eight (8) data bits, no parity, one (1) stop bit, and any baud rate up to 14,400 bps. IBBS phone numbers are 256-730-8786 (up to 14.4K bps) and 256-730-6504 (up to 2400 bps). 2. Once connected to the IBBS, respond to the login request with the appropriate user ID. If connecting for the first time, respond with "NEW" and the IBBS will step through the process of creating a new user ID. 3. The Top menu is the main menu of the IBBS. Select option C ... Customer Services from the Top menu. Then select option W .. Worksheet Problem Logging from the Customer menu. 4. Respond to each question with the appropriate information. Please limit each line of the problem description to a max- imum of 60 characters. 5. The IBBS sends the request as an E-mail message from the IBBS user. Verification of the worksheet number, or an error message indicating the failure condition will be returned through E-mail to the IBBS login account. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
