	   Accton EN2212 Ethernet PCMCIA Adapter
     NDIS Driver for Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0
     =================================================


File Descriptions:

OEMSETUP.INF		Device Information File for the EN2212 Adapter.
ETHPCM.SYS		EN2212 Microsoft Windows NT device driver.

* Windows NT 3.51 installation procedure:

   1)  In the Main group of NT, select the Control Panel icon.

   2)  In the Control Panel window, select the Network icon.

   3)  In the Network Settings dialog box, select the Add Adapter button.
       The Add Network Adapter dialog box appears.

   4)  In the list of network cards, select "<other> Requires disk from
       manufacturer", and press the <Enter> button.

   5)  Insert the Driver Diskette in a floppy drive.  Enter drive and
       pathname (e.g. A:\NT40) and select the OK button.

   6)  In the Select OEM Option dialog box, you will see "Accton EN221x
       PCMCIA Series Adapter" in the menu.  Use the OK button to install it.

   7)  Next, the Network Card Setup dialog box appears.  You must specify 
       the "IRQ level" and "I/O Port Address" of the Card.  Click the 
       OK button.

   8)  The installation is now complete.  The EN2212 Adapter becomes one
       of the Installed Adapter Cards and the driver becomes one of the
       Installed Network Software.  You can see "[0x]Accton EN221x PCMCIA
       Series Adapter" in the Installed Adapter Cards menu, and "Accton 
       EN221x PCMCIA Series Adapter Driver" in the Installed Network 
       Software menu.

   9)  Select OK and the system binds the protocol stack to the newly
       added EN2212 adapter.  Wait until the process is complete.

  10)  Shutdown and restart the system to bring up the network.

* Windows NT 4.0 installation procedure:

   1)  In Control Panel, double click on the Network icon.  The Network
       configuration window appears.  Select the Adapters tab.

   2)  Click the Add button.  The Select Network Adapter window appears.
       Click the Have Disk button.  

   3) The Insert Disk dialog box appears.  Insert the Driver Diskette in 
      the floppy drive (e.g. A:).  Enter "A:\NT40".

   4) The Select OEM Option window appears, with "Accton EN221x PCMCIA 
      Series Adapter" highlighted.  Click the OK button.

   5) The Accton EN221x PCMCIA Series Adapter Setup dialog box appears.
      Select the appropriate IRQ Level and I/O Port Address values.  
      Click the OK button.

   6) The Accton EN221x PCMCIA Series Adapter is added to the Network 
      Adapters list.  Click the Close buttton.  The system now binds the 
      protocol stack to the newly added adapter.  Wait until the process 
      is complete.

   7) Shutdown and restart the system to bring up the network.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
