User Installation Notes
=======================

1.  Click on the Start box in the lower left corner and proceed to Settings, Control Panel.
2.  Inside the Control Panel group, click on the Display icon to open the Display Properties folder 
and select the Settings tab (right most tab).
3. click on "Advaced Propeties", then  at Adapter, click on "Change"
4.  Select the "Have Disk..." button and then insert the Driver installation diskette into the floppy 
drive A: or B: and proceed with OK button.
5. Select the S3 Inc. 86CM65' driver
6. Press OK and files are being copied from the diskette to your computer.
7. If a "Version Conflict" dialog box pops up and asks "Do you want to keep this file?", answer 
"No".
8. Press Close again to exit Display Properties folder.
9. Select Yes to restart computer before the new driver will take effect

How to change colordepth
========================

1. Make sure you have installed the driver (see above).
2. Click on the Start box in the lower left corner and proceed to Settings, Control Panel.
3. Inside the Control Panel group, click on the Display icon to open the Display Properties folder 
and select the Settings tab.
4. Click on the pull-down arrow from the Color palette area to select color depth.
5. Choose OK to restart Win95.

How to change resolution
========================

1. Make sure you have installed driver (see section above).
2. Click on the Start box in the lower left corner and proceed to Settings, Control Panel.
3. Inside the Control Panel group, click on the Display icon to open the Display Properties folder 
and select the Settings tab.
4. Ajust the sliding bar either to Less or More from the Desktop area.
5. Choose OK and new resolution will take effect.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
