UP-D860 Windows95 Printer Driver Version 1.10

This file contains important last-minute information.
Please refer to this Readme in advance. 
       
<Install>
1.Choose "Printers" from "Control Panel".
2.Choose "Add Printer" in "Printers" folder.
3.Click on "Next" in "Printer Wizard".
4.Select "Local Printer" and click on "Next".
5.Click on "Have disk".
6.Select the floppy drive and click on "OK".
7.The printer name is displayed.  Select "UP-D860" and click on "Next".
8.Select available port such as "LPT1:"and click on "OK".  Then click on "Next".
9.Click on "Next".	

<New Features and Other Information>
1. When you print more than 2 files at once or make more than 2
   copies of 1 file, please set as follows.

	a. Choose "Printers" from "Control Panel".
	b. Click "SONY UP-D860" icon with the right button of your
	   mouse and choose "Properties".
	c. Choose "Details" from "SONY UP-D860 Properties".
	d. Click on "Spool Settings" button.
	e. Check "Print directly to the printer".

   You will get only 1 printouts without this settings.
   
2. Printout of "Print Test Page" from "General" Property may sometimes be
   incorrect.  (Characters will be overlappted.) It is not caused by the
   Printer Driver for the UP-D860.

3. Please restart your computer after installing a upgraded driver
   software.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
