VersaPoint Driver and Control Panel - Version 2.0 Updated Information For notebook computers with internal trackballs (or other integrated pointing devices), it may be necessary to direct the VersaPoint driver to use a specific port to avoid automatically selecting the internal trackball as the active pointing device.If you find that the VersaPoint driver has defaulted to the internal pointing device, you can edit the VPMOUSE.INI file located in the WINDOWS directory to direct the driver to use a specific port. Use the EDIT command in DOS to edit the VPMOUSE.INI file. Locate the Port line in the [Interface] section of the file. You can change the line to specify the port that you have connected your VersaPoint device to. Use one of the examples below: Port=COM1 Port=COM2 Port=PS2 When you have completed the file modification, save the file and run Windows. The correct port should now be selected.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
