Installation Procedure
IS560RK Internal ISA Modem

The IS560RK Internal Voice Fax Modem V90 installation is a TWO PART Installation .

1ST Part:

1) Make sure that the modem is working and correctly install in Windows 3.11,95,98,NT
2) Run the application Flashcom.exe , by selecting the file with File Manager (Win 3.11)
   or Explorer and double-clicking on the file with your mouse ,this action will execute
   the Flashcom program .
3) Flashcom will then automatically detect your modem .
4) Select LOAD NOW, a message will then display  "! Are you sure ." 
   Select OK and continue .
5) Be patient to wait until it completes, once it has completed you can close the 
   application .
6) The Modem has now been updated with the new V.90 Firmware .

2nd Part
   
    The 2nd part of the installation should only be run if the Modem is to be 
    upgraded from 56k Flex to v.90 .
    This step need not be run if your modem is already a V.90 Modem . 


          Change of PnP Table for IS560RK modem
               from 56KFlex to V.90 
                       
1) If you have updated the Modem with the V.90 Firmware then from 
   the same folder where you have unziped your files run the file 
   PnPV90 (MS-DOS Batch File).

   a)Double click on the file with your mouse will execute the 
     batch file.
     Please wait for the program to finish updating the PnP V.90 
     Table .
   b)When the PnP Table is finished please close the MS-DOS Window
     and then remove all drivers from Control Panel-Modems and
     then Restart your PC.

   * I am assuming that your Internal IS560RK Modem is set to
     Plug & Play.
   * On startup Windows 95 will now report Found new Hardware
     (ISA PnP V.90 Fax Modem (RKV)).


   The Installation is now complete . 

   

   !  Please do not forget to install the new driver found on the 
      same zip file (i2200v90.zip).
      OR replace and copy the file mdmpxv.inf to the Windows\system 
      Folder in Windows 95 , Windows 98 Windows\inf\others .
      Remove the modem driver in control panel Modems and then 
      Shutdown and restart, for the new updated driver to take effect.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
