	HP CD-Writer Plus USB Driver Ver 

Windows98/Me/2000/XP Driver Installation Notes:

- Connect the USB device and make sure it is up and running

- The OS should automatically find the new hardware and run 
  the installation wizard

- Provide the location of the driver files (use Win98_ME folder for Windows 98 and Windows ME)

- The driver files will now be copied and the system may timeout
  for a short while until the driver loading process has completed

- You may need to reboot the system at least once to allow all new
  drivers to be correctly enabled to support the USB device

- After all new hardware sub-devices have been detected and 
  installed, then the new device should become accessible via the 
  application that was provided for use with your HP CD-Writer

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
