Enhancements
V.90 modem support.
Update via network control panel.
Implemented ATI9.
Bug Fixes
After doing properties on a RAS adapter, network control panel
states there has been changes and that you must reboot, even if
you clicked cancel.
ISDN Tapi devices (B Channels) are not addressed correctly, and
do not show up in RAS setup from NCPA.
BRI 5ESS and DMS100 switch types do not work properly. Only
use NI-1 switch type on DataFire RAS B4U.
Auto-detection of Digi RAS 56K Modem by modem control panel does
not work.
Clients using V.90/K56Flex modems should issue AT+MS=56 to
connect using K56Flex for best speed. V.90 modems will be
connected at V.34 rates.
Clearing statistics in Portassist Viewer works.
Advanced ISDN settings now display properly under Information
window.
Serial port names cannot be duplicated.
Software flow control has been fixed on serial ports.
Fixed ATI7.
ISDN numbers must not contain any non-numeric characters
(e.g. "-").
Known Problems
Resetting a modem causes the settings stored in NVRAM for other
modems to reset.
Caller ID data is currently ignored.
Channelized T1 Wink Digits are currently ignored.
On Channelized T1 Wink Start Trunks without dial tone
supervision, modems must be initialized with ATX3 for dial
out.
Currently, modems are not automatically assigned to open serial
ports when calls are received. They are assigned based on the
timeslot of the call. Therefore, unless all the serial ports to
the board are open, it is possible a call will not be answered.
On ISDN Trunks, the following rules are applied to modem dial
strings:
a) A comma (delay) in the first or second position is
allowed.
b) then the first non-numeric character terminates the dial
string (e.g. 9,12345678 is a valid dial string and
9,1,234-5678 is not).
BRI and PRI adapters do not function properly under RAS when
installed in the same machine. This is a known limitation of
NT 4.0.
