Information required to complete installation:
You will need to have the following information from your ISDN
Provider or Telecom for each ISDN BRI line you order. It's
important to note that this information may be different for each
line--even the switch type(s) may vary between lines and/or
locations!
- Switch type (AT&T 5E, NI-1, etc.) and/or D-Channel Protocol (1TR6,
EDSS-1, etc.).
In North America:
Make sure your provider gives you explicit information regarding
National ISDN-1. It's not uncommon for the provider to identify
the switch type according to manufacturer and model number
(Northern TeleCom DMS-100), but neglect to mention that National
ISDN-1 software is running on the switch.
- If it's a Northern TeleCom switch, your provider should verify
that EKTS is disabled (=No).
- If it's a National ISDN-1 switch, your provider should verify
that EKTS is set to Basic or None.
- Number of Logical Terminals (typically 1 or 2).
- Multipoint or Point-to-Point service; multiple Logical Terminal
and SPIDs per BRI line usually indicates Multipoint service.
- The "DN" Directory (phone) Number assigned to each Logical
Terminal.
- The SPID assigned to each Logical Terminal.
Information required from provider to make a call:
- The protocol subscribed to on each B Channel (B1 and B2).
This will be Circuit Switched Data (CSD) and/or Circuit
Switched Voice (CSV) on either or both channels.
In Europe:
Make sure your provider gives you explicit information which
D-Channel protocol is being used for your Service. Most commonly,
the so called "Euro-ISDN" standard will get used, also referred to
as EDSS-1, ISDN-2, VN5 or more generic NET 3.
If your connection is not direct to the public ISDN Network but
through a PBX system (Switchboard), please make sure your PBX is
able to provide a full ISDN BRI emulation according to the
protocol standard and is programmed to allow unlimited access to
the ISDN line in Data mode.
- The telephone number(s) of your ISDN BRI
If you want to address different ISDN devices on the same ISDN
Bus, you will need to have a subaddressing scheme. For example,
you can address multiple devices under the Euro-ISDN protocol by
using the so called MSN's (Multiple Subscriber Numbers). Make
sure you get an adequate amount of MSN's and their numbers from
your ISDN Provider. Under the 1TR6 protocol, you can assign the
EAZ (Endgeraete Ausscheide Ziffer) yourself by adding one extra
digit to your telephone number (Attention: EAZ may not be "0" or
"9").
- Point-to-Multipoint or Point-to-Point service; Normally , our
products require the Multipoint service.

GENERAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - Please note the following two points
before proceeding
==========================================================================
1. If during the installation of the Digi ISDN adapter drivers you are
prompted for the location of any of the Windows 95 system files, enter
D:\WIN95 as the source location, where D: is the drive letter for your
CD-ROM or floppy drive.
2. During the copy operation, Windows 95 over-writes some of its own
system files. If a dialog box appears, reporting that a file on your
system has a later date than the one being copied, keep the more recent
file. That is, answer "Yes" meaning you will keep the one
on your system and skip the copy operation for that file.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
