Installation instructions for installing the NDIS 3.0 driver for
Megahertz XJEM1144, CCEM1144, XJEM3288, CCEM3288, XJEM3336, or CCEM3336.

1) Start Windows for Workgroups.

2) Select the Network Icon.

3) Select Network Setup.

4) Select Drivers.

5) Select Add Adapter.

6) Select Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter.

7) Specify the location of the oemsetup.inf and mhzc92.386 files.  This is
   usually A:\NDIS3.

8) Select Okay.

9) Select "Megahertz XJEM1144 or CCEM1144", "Megahertz XJEM3288 or CCEM3288", 
   or "Megahertz XJEM3336 or CCEM3336"

10) Select the interrupt. 

11) Select the I/O address.

12) Select Close

13) Select Okay

14) The system will display a dialog box informing you of the update of
    protocol.ini and system.ini.

15) Select Okay.

16) Select Continue to continue your windows session or restart to reboot
    the system.  Before the network can be used the system must be rebooted.

17) Shutdown windows and reboot the system.


Note: 

1) When using the NDIS 3.0 driver with ENABLE the modem side will
   not function in DOS.  To use the modem, enable the card with the /m option
   rather than the /o option.  The /m option enables the modem only.  

2) If you are experiencing modem problems in windows when using
   ENABLE check the COMPORT keyword in protocol.ini to insure that it
   corresponds to the comport that is setup by ENABLE.

3) If Card and Socket Services are not installed on your system you must use
   ENABLE with the /o option.  Otherwise, if Card and Socket Services
   are installed, do not use ENABLE.  The following is an example
   of the command line to use:  c:\mhz\enable /o

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
