1.  Upgrading Your Megahertz CC2336i PC Card to V.90

    To upgrade your modem, follow these steps:

    1. Put a blank formatted floppy disk in drive A:

    2. Download the Megahertz CC2336i V.90 upgrade,
       being sure to save the file to drive A: 

       a. Click the download button on the web page
       b. When the File Download box appears, check 
          "Save this program to disk" and click OK. 
       c. In the Save As box, change the drive to A: and click Save 

    3. Run the upgrade program from drive A: 

       a. Click My Computer
       b. Click A: 
       c. Double-click the only file on the floppy disk

       This extracts the files and saves them to the floppy disk 

    4. Uninstall the old modem software

       a. Click Start
       b. Click Settings
       c. Click Control Panel
       d. Select Megahertz International Modem for Windows
       e. Click Uninstall
       f. Click OK twice
       g. Run A:\SPORTREM
       h. Click Start
       i. Click Shutdown
       h. Select Restart your Computer
       j. Click Yes

     5. Make sure the Megahertz cc2336i V.90 upgrade 
        floppy disk that you just created is in drive A:

     6. Either insert the Megahertz cc2336i PC Card or remove and 
        reinsert it

     7. When the Update Device Driver Wizard box appears on your 
        screen, 

        In Windows 95:

        a. Click Next
        b. Click Finish
        c. If it cannot find the next file, 
           1. Click OK
           2. Select A:\
           3. Click OK
        d. Click Next
        e. Click Finish  

        In Windows 98:

        a. Click Next
        b. Select Search for the best...
        c. Click Next
        d. Select Floppy disk..
        e. Click Next
        f. Click Next
        g. Click Finish
        h. Click Next
        i. Select Search for the best...
        j. Click Next
        k. Select Floppy disk..
        l. Click Next
        m. Click Next
        n. Click Finish

     8. Restart your computer

        a. Click Start
        b. Select Shut Down
        c. Select Restart the Computer  

2. Changing the Country Selection 
   
   1.  Click Start
   2.  Select Settings
   3.  Select Control Panel
   4.  Double-click Modems
   5.  Select Megahertz International Modem for Windows
   6.  Select Properties
   7.  Select Port Settings
   8.  Select Change Country
   9.  Click OK
   10. Select the country you'll be in 
   11. Click OK
   12. Click Yes
   13. Click OK

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
