5. Limitation
1. VT6420 PATA does not support RAID.
2. Please use VT6420 A5 chip, VT8237 A3 chip or later version chip.
3. SATA HDD hot-plug is not supported by DOS, Windows NT4.0, 98SE and ME.
4. SATA ATAPI device is only supported by VT6420 A5 or VT8237 A3 or later version chip
5. Hot-plug is not supported for VT6421 PATA slave if PATA master already existed. (It is hardware spec. limitation)
Note:
1. When plugging or unplugging a HDD must complete all actions of RAID utility in OS.
2. There are two kinds of VT6420 BIOS. Please refer to BIOS.txt.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
