Special Software Notes
======================
When installing the Windows driver, one of the most important things in
setting the resources is that the BayStack 650, BayStack 660, AirSurfer
Plus and AirSurfer Pro adapters need 40 hex (64 decimal) bytes of I/O
space. i.e. 200-23F or 240-27F. Make sure that there is no other
device using I/O space in the 40 hex block that has been assigned to
the PC Card.

BayStack AP Manager - BayStack 650/ BayStack 660 AP Utilities v3.40
AP Firmware - BayStack 650/ BayStack 660 Access Point Firmware v3.40
PC Card Firmware - BayStack 650/ BayStack 660 PC Card Firmware v3.40
Root directory:
   - BayStack 650/ BayStack 660 Drivers/ Utilities Installer (Win95/98/NT) v3.40
The installer uses the files in the Common, win9x, winnt and winutils
subdirectories to install both the driver and the windows utilities.

IMPORTANT NOTE
--------------
The BayStack 650/ BayStack 660 product line consists of 5 software
components:

	a. BayStack AP Manager
	b. Access Point firmware
	c. Windows driver
	d. Windows utilities
	e. PC Card (adapter) firmware

For Release 3.40, ALL of those components have been revised and
updated. In order to obtain the full benefits of all the features of
Release 3.40, one must upgrade all the components throughout the
system. In particular, the PC Card (adapter) firmware must be updated,
for both the adapters used in the mobile workstations and the adapters
used in the APs. NOTE: The easiest way to update the adapter firmware
is to do it with the adapter inserted into the AP, and then using the
Upgrade Adapter Firmware action of BayStack AP Manager.

The recommended procedure is to upgrade to the new version of BayStack
AP Manager, then upgrade the AP firmware, install the new driver and
utilities, then upgrade the adapter firmware.

Once the adapter firmware for the mobile workstation PC Cards has been
upgraded, the v3.40 driver MUST be used in conjunction with the adapters.
The older driver will no longer operate with the updated adapters.

Installation Notes
------------------
BayStack 650/ BayStack 660 PC Card Windows Drivers (Win95/98/NT)
Make sure that any virus detection software is DISABLED.
For Win95/98, run the file "setup.exe" program from the CD. This
installs (or updates) both the driver and the windows utilities.
When the installation is complete, allow the computer to reboot.
Once the system has rebooted, insert the adapter into the PCMCIA
slot. You will be prompted to set the initial configuration for
    the adapter.
For more details on the driver installation refer to the readme-drivers.txt file.

BayStack 650/ BayStack 660 Windows Utilities
Make sure that any virus detection software is disabled.
Run the file "setup.exe" program from the CD. This installs (or
updates) both the driver and the windows utilities.
Recommendation: use the default destination directory for the utilities.

BayStack 650/ BayStack 660 AP Utilities
The file 'Install BayStack AP Managr.exe' is a self-extracting file
containing the AP Manager application. Run this file from Explorer
    or from the "Run" command.
