I/ USE OF THE DDE "PCDDE" SERVER FOR FastDDE/SuiteLink

1. 0 GENERALITIES
The applicomIO® DDE server "PCDDEIO" for FastDDE/SuiteLink is available
for Windows NT 4.0.

2 . 0 USE OF THE DDE "PCDDEIO" SERVER FOR FastDDE/SuiteLink
To use the PCDDEIO server with Suitelink protocol, some of the Factory Suite 2000
components must necessarily be present on the machine even if PCDDEIO used with
another DDE client like Microsoft Excel.
These components will be installed :
- either during the installation of the Factory Suite 2000 on the machine
- either by launching the Wonderware®(version 7.0 SP2) installation program provided
on the applicomIO® CD-ROM , in the directory :
D:\Install\CommonFS2000\IOServer\Common\Win32\setup.exe
CAUTION!!!!!!
Theese components can be installed only if the TCP/IP protocol is configured on the machine
(from the 'Network' icon of the configuration panel). For a stand-alone machine without network
board, you should install a driver which simulate it. For this, choose the "MS looped board" in
the board list provided by Microsoft during installation.

II/ Utilisation du serveur DDE "PCDDE" pour FastDDE/SuiteLink

1.0 Généralités
Le serveur applicomIO® DDE "PCDDEIO" version FastDDE/SuiteLink peut
être installer sous windows NT 4.0.

2.0 Utilisation du serveur DDE "PCDDEIO" pour FastDDE/SuiteLink
Pour utiliser le serveur DDE , il faut nécessairement que certains
composants de la FactorySuite 2000 de Wonderware soient présents
sur la machine même si aucun élément de la FactorySuite 2000 n'est
nécessaire suur la machine (notamment pour une utilisation du serveur
DDE depuis d'autres clients comme Excel,...).
Ces composants seront installés:
-Soit durant l'installation de la Factory Suite 2000 sur la machine
-Soit en lançant le programme d'installation Wonderware® (version 7.0 SP2)
fourni sur le CD-ROM applicomIO®
dans le répertoire :
D:\Install\CommonFS2000\IOServer\Common\Win32\setup.exe
ATTENTION !!!!
Ces composants ne pourront être installés que si le protocole TCP/IP est configuré
sur la machine (à partir de l'icone 'Réseau' du panneau de configuration). Pour une
machine monoposte ne disposant pas de carte réseau, vous devrez installer un driver
qui simulera sa présence. Pour cela, choisissez la "carte de bouclage MS" dans la
liste des cartes proposées par Microsoft lors de l'installation.

Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
