   *  Windows 2003 server x64 Edition.
    
 It has been tested on the following x64 hardware platform : 
 
   *  AMD64 from AMD

 2 Context and limitation of use
-----------------------------

Context of use :

	The WOW64 applicom driver is usable with a standard 32 bits applicom product (applicom console, OPC server, DDE server,…).
	The driver autorizes the 32 bits applications only. Native 64 bits applications are not supported.

Limitation :
	- it is no more possible to implement our NDIS driver feature
	- it is no more possible to use the Virtual COM port (Modbus to modbus+ feature)
	- only PCI cards are supported

 3 Installation Instruction
-----------------------------

Applicom product (32 bits) version 3.8 SP4 as a minimum must be installed in your PC.



The Driver package has following Files / Directories :

a. Applicom System Driver : This folder contains files needed for driver installation.

   1. applicom64.inf	  : Inf File required for device installation on windows platform.

   2. applicom64.sys 	  : Applicom driver binary

b. readme.txt		  : This file.


To install the applicom driver, following the instructions:

1. Plug the applicom board in your PCI bus slot.

2. Restart your PC, The x64 Operating System will auto-detect your system configuration and find the hardware adapter.

3. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" option from the wizard and go to next.

3. Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install" option from the wizard and move to next.

4. Click the "Have Disk" button and browse to provide the location of this package.
   (inf file) and click next.

5. This will install the device driver for applicom board, 

6. You can now reboot your PC.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
