Chapter 1 General introduction
1.1 Introduction:
The SysOn GPS CF Plus is a CF type serial communication
card for notebook computers and other computers with a PCMCIA
slot. The SysOn GPS CF Plus offers serial interface ports. This
enables notebook computers to receive GPS data. This
serial ports are implemented with 16C550 UART.
Chapter 2 Installation
2.1 Initial inspection:
We carefully inspected the SysOn GPS CF Plus both mechanically and
electrically before shipment. As you unpack the SysOn GPS CF Plus,
check it for signs of shipping damage (damaged box, scratches,
dents, etc.). If it is damaged or fails to meet specifications,
notify our service department or your local distributor and
retain the shipping carton and packing material for inspection by
the carrier. We will then make arrangements to repair or replace
the unit.
2.2 SysOn GPS CF Plus card installation:
1. Turn-off the notebook computer power, and locate the notebook's
PCMCIA slot. Although PCMCIA systems allow "hot insertion",
installing of the card while the computer is running. But
not every Notebook computer was implement this feature, check
the user's manual for your notebook. If you are in doubt,
turn the power off first.
2. You must insert SysOn GPS CF Plus to PCMCIA adapter
(PCMCIA adaptor is optional).
2. Align the SysOn GPS CF Plus with the arrow facing up and
pointing towards the computer's PCMCIA slot.
3. Slowly insert the card in the slot. When you insert the card, be sure
that the top side is up.
4. You will see the "Add New Hardware Wizard".
2.3 Driver installation and configuration:
1. Installation for Windows 98
The first time you insert the SysOn GPS CF Plus into a Windows 98
notebook, you will see "Add New Hardware Wizard".
Click Next>. On the next screen, click Search for the best driver for
your device and click Next>. Insert the floppy diskette into your notepc.
Make sure Floppy disc drive is checked and click Next>.
A screen should report the location of the SYSONCHIP.INF driver.
Click Next>. When you see a screen reporting that Windows has finished
installing the software, click Finish.
2. Installation for Windows 95
When you first insert the SysOn GPS CF Plus into a Windows 95
notebook, you will see "Update Device Driver Wizard".
Insert the floppy diskette into your floppy disc drive and click Next>.
On the next screen, click Other Locations... and specify your floppy disc Drive.
Windows will report that it found the driver for the SysOn GPS CF Plus.
Click Finish.
3. Installation for Windows 2000/XP
When you first insert the SysOn GPS CF Plus into your Windows 2000
notebook, you will see :Add New Hardware Wizard" window.
Click Next>. On the next screen, click Search for the best driver for your
device, then click Next>. Insert the floppy diskette into your floppy disc drive.
Check floppy disc drive and then click Next>. When the SYSONCHIP.INF
driver is found, click Next>. Follow the instructions and click Finish.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
