Motorola BitSURFR Pro
Software Release Advisory Notice

New Revision Code: 1L
Replaced Revision Code: 1K
Revision Date: 08/12/97

Revision Summary
---------------
This is a release to correct conditions that existed in 1K code and to add the PPP
Passthrough Feature and support for Enhanced Caller ID (Name Delivery)

Documentation Changes
---------------------
* In the 1L code, the &F1 profile has been changed to a V.120 profile. Also, the
default for DTR Setting has been changed to &D2 (hangup) and the default for
DCD Setting has been changed to &C1 (normal) for all factory profiles.

* When placing a Multi-Link PPP call where the two telephone numbers are the
same, you should now enter the number only once. If the two telephone numbers
are different, you must still enter both numbers connected by an ampersand (&).

* You may now disable Call Waiting on the BitSURFR Pro's voice ports. This can
be done in LocalMenu, under the Voice Ports menu. You can also disable Call
Waiting using AT commands: the command to disable Call Waiting on Voice Port 1
is "AT*%A78=0", for Voice Port 2 it is "AT*2%A78=0". To re-enable Call Waiting,
the command is "AT*%A78=1" for Voice Port 1 and "AT*2%A78=1" for Voice Port 2.

* The number of times the BitSURFR Pro will attempt to connect the second channel
of a Multi-link PPP call may now be set. See PPP.txt for details.

* See PPP.txt for documentation on PPP Passthrough

added to AT&F or AT&f1.
Examples:
1)64K V.120- AT&F%A2=2 or AT&F1%A2=2
2)56K V.120- AT&F%A2=2%A4=1 or AT&F1%A2=2%A4=1
3)56k PPP- AT&F%A4=1 or AT&F1%A4=1

Motorola BitSURFR Pro
Software Release Advisory Notice

Board Number: 4574190
New Revision Code: 1D
Replaced Revision Code: 1C
Release Date: 12/06/95

Release Summary
---------------
This is a maintenance release to correct Multi-Link PPP and Softload problems
found in Revision 1C.

Release Notes
-------------

New Features:
* No new features added.

Modifications:
* Modified DTE LED operation to indicate when only one B channel was
connected for call attempts using a two-channel protocol, i.e. Multi-Link
  PPP, AIMux, and BONDING.
The DTE LED status indications are now as follows:

  Slow Wink:
Indicates that the terminal adapter has placed or is receiving a data call
to/from another ISDN compatable device. There is no change in this state
  from previous versions of software.

  Fast Wink:
Indicates that one B channel is connected when the terminal adapter is set
for a protocol which uses two B channels. Applicable protocols are
Multi-Link PPP, AIMux, and BONDING. Note that both B channels can
sometimes connect quickly enough to bypass this state.

  Steady On:
Indicates that a data call is established with the proper number of B
channels for the selected protocol, i.e. one B channel for Clear, V.120,
and PPP, two B channels for MLPPP, AIMux, and BONDING.

Bug Fixes:
* Corrected a Boot Sector problem which prevented recovery from a softload
  failure.
* Corrected a Multi-Link PPP problem which corrupted data frames of a
particular length on the network-to-DTE path.
* Corrected a Multi-Link PPP problem where calls were not disconnected
  properly 100% of the time.
