Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel. 2. Start the "Display" applet program. 3. Select the "Settings" tab, push the "Display Type" button. 4. Push the "Change" button in the "Display Type" Dialogue Box. 5. Push the "Have Disk" button from the "Change Display" Dialogue box. 6. Specify the path to the new driver and press the <ENTER> key: Example 1: Insert the drivers disk in the A: floppy drive, and enter A:\. Example 2: Type in the name of the directory where you copied the drivers, either on your local hard drive or on a network share. Example 3: If you're not sure exactly where the drivers are, choose the "Browse..." button are find them. 7. The "Change Display" dialog box will appear. Choose OK. 8. Windows NT will copy the display drivers to the proper directories on your system. 9. The "Third-Party Drivers" Dialogue Box will appear. Choose Yes to proceed. 10. Continue to follow screen instructions until asked to restart your machine. 11. After the system has restarted, you can go back into the Display applet and select alternate screen resolutions and color depths. 3.0 Setting the DDC default value _______________________________ 1. Open the cirrus.inf file found on the disk. 2. Go to the section called [cirrus_SoftwareDeviceSettings] 3. Edit the last character to 1 to enable DDC. Example: HKR,, DDCControlFlag, %REG_DWORD%, 1 Or edit the last character to 0 to disable DDC. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
