        Davicom DM9601 NDIS CE Miniport Device Driver Note



    The Davicom DM9601 NDIS CE miniport device driver is used to be the
network component of the Microsoft CE Operating System enables hardware
containing Davicom's fast ethernet controller 'DM9601'.
    This file describes the procedures of the driver installation. Note that
this is not written for end-users.

    Platform.bi_    -   Sample platform configuration file
    Platform.re_    -   Sample platform registery file


1. Installation

1.1 Place the driver file(dm9601.dll) in your Windows CE 
	release directory(e.g. $_FLATRELEASEDIR).
	 
1.2 In the file Platform.bib, add the following line in the MODULES section,

	dm9601.dll       $(_FLATRELEASEDIR)\dm9601.dll              NK  SH

1.3 In the file Platform.reg, add the following registry values.

	[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\USB\LoadClients\2630_38401\Default\Default\DavicomUsbEthernet]
		"DLL"="dm9601.dll"

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
