 ALi PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller Driver v1.32 for Windows 98 SE, Windows ME , Windows 2000 and Windows XP

 INTRODUCTION
----------------

  This driver supports ALi EHCI host Controller under Windows 98 SE,  Windows ME , Windows 2000
  and Windows XP.

1. Installation Instructions
----------------------------

(Windows 98 SE & Windows ME)
 
  1. Install ALi USB2.0 Driver
     - Run the setup program.
     - This program will copy driver files into your Windows system, then restart 
       your computer.
  2. After system reboot, Windows will find the new hardware "ALi PCI to USB Enhanced
     Host Controller" and install the driver.
  3. Restart the computer again to complete the installation.
  
  (Windows 2000)	

  1. Install ALi USB2.0 Driver
     - Run the setup program.
     - This program will install and load the driver and you don't have to reboot the 
       computer.
  
 (Windows XP)
  
 This driver package does not include USB2.0 host controller driver for Windows XP. 
 You can either install Windows XP SP1, or download USB 2.0 host controller driver 
 from Microsoft Windows Update website and install the driver from this driver package
 installation. The instructions are as follows:

 1.For Windows XP SP1:
   Windows XP SP1 already includes USB 2.0 host controller driver. You don't need to 
   install this driver package. Instead follow the steps below to install Windows XP SP1
   USB 2.0 host controller driver.
  
   a.Update Windows XP to Windows XP SP1.
   b.Open ¡§Device Manager¡¨: Click ¡§Start¡¨, click ¡§Control Panel¡¨, click ¡§Performance
     and Maintenance¡¨, click ¡§System¡¨, and then click ¡§Service Manager¡¨ on ¡§Hardware¡¨
     tab.
   c. Select¡§Universal Serial Bus(USB) Controller¡¨under¡§Other Device¡¨category, click 
      "Update driver¡¨ on ¡§Driver¡¨ tab, select ¡§Install the Software 
      Automatically(Recommended)¡¨, and then click ¡§Next¡¨.
   d. Click ¡§Finish¡¨ when Hardware Update Wizard informs you the hardware update is 
      completed.

 2.For USB 2.0 host controller driver downloaded from Windows Update:
   ( Note : Please make sure your download file is correct language version.For the
   instruction on downloading the Windows Update USB 2.0 driver package, reference 
   the attached USBDownloadProcedure.doc. )
   a. Extract the downloaded Windows Update USB 2.0 driver package file to 
        C:\\Windows\temp\ALiEHCI.
   b. Run QFE fix for USB 2.0, which you can find in
        C:\\Windows\temp\ALiEHCI. 
   c. Reinstall this driver package.

 2. Uninstallation Instructions
 ------------------------------

  1. Open "Control Panel" folder.
  2. Invoke "Add\Remove Programs" icon.
  3. Choose "ALi USB2.0 Driver" item.
  4. Click on "Add/Remove" button to remove drivers.

    if OS path is not c:\windows.
 2. Fix issue that driver can't detect USB 2.0 controller device in in some system.

    file can't be found.
 4. Fix issue that v1.20 finds no EHCI controller to install driver for after different
    verison of ALi EHCI controller devices are plugged and unplugged.
 5. Support installing driver for more than one ALi EHCI controller devices existing on
    system at the same time.
 6. Fix Win2K/XP shows USB Root Hub for USB 2.0 Root Hub.
