W95-11D is huge... 120+ files with 1000+ ©tricks and counting.
So you need to take a break from whatever you were doing, brew a fresh coffee
pot, fill up your XL mug [but don't spill it on your keyboard ;)], kick back,
relax, and only after that, dig in, 1 tip at a time.
All these steps must be performed in this exact order for maximum comfort. :-)

Microsoft declared Windows 95 and 98 (ALL flavors) "obsolete" [:(]:

The main goal of these files is to transform your PC into the ultimate,
extremely tweaked, mean machine you have always dreamed of, even if you don't

These plain text files are growing larger as I keep adding new ©tips.
Therefore some will NOT open with Notepad (Windows default text/ASCII
editor/viewer), limited to a maximum file size of ONLY 64 KB. Bummer! :(
Alternatively you could use WordPad.exe (in full screen view), but I STRONGLY
RECOMMEND Programmer's File Editor 32-bit for Windows 9x/NT/2000/ME/XP/2003,
the BEST + fastest FREEware Notepad replacement: opens ANY number of
ASCII/text/HTML files of ANY size limited ONLY by your computer's memory,
OLE2/DDE/MDI compliant, highly customizable:

HINT: BACKUP your original NOTEPAD.EXE, rename PFE32.EXE to NOTEPAD.EXE, and
then move the new NOTEPAD.EXE and PFE.HLP files to your Windows folder, to
have ALL your text files open with the NEW Notepad.

MAXIMIZE your Windows text viewer window to FULL screen (or at least 640x480)
to avoid using "Word wrap", which splits long command lines, Internet
addresses (URLs) and Windows Registry keys.
All these text (.TXT) files are formatted to fit the 640x480 (VGA) screen of
79 characters, also used by EDIT.COM, the default MS-DOS text/ASCII text
editor/viewer. I recommend EDIT.COM for displaying ONLY my AUTOEXEC.BAT and
CONFIG.SYS files, because the extended ANSI characters I use on my "SET
PROMPT=" and "SET WINPMT=" lines are NOT supported by Notepad or ANY other
Windows plain text/ASCII editor/viewer, unless you are using a Notepad
replacement that supports ANSI/DOS/OEM fixed pitch fonts.

W95-11D does NOT include ANY binary EXEcutables or embedded DOCument objects,
ONLY plain text (.BAT, .DOS, .INF, .INI, .REG, .TXT, .SYS), graphics (.BMP,
.ICO, .SYS) and icon library (.DLL) files. Therefore it does NOT contain ANY
viruses, worms or trojans!
Nonetheless, I scan my files frequently for all known viruses with the current
release of Norton AntiVirus 32-bit for Windows 9x/NT4/2000/ME/XP/2003

To uninstall these files, please delete them all manually.

3. ALL folders, files + Registry entry above created by W95-11D.EXE during
INSTALL are completely DELETED by UNINSTALL.

!	FIRST: BACKUP ALL YOUR HARD DRIVES TO A SAFE LOCATION [CD-R(W),
!	DVD-R(W), REMOVABLE DISK, TAPE ETC] BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE ANY
!	SYSTEM CHANGES !!!
!	Take *EXTREME CAUTION* when modifying your System settings ! Faulty
!	changes may result in computer crashes/lockups/permanent data loss,
!	or might lead to having you REINSTALL the ENTIRE Operating System(s) !
!	YOU are the ONLY one responsible for ANY changes YOU make !
!	ALWAYS HAVE YOUR MOST RECENT SYSTEM BACKUP READY !

1. YOUR WINDOWS 95/98/ME + MS-DOS 7.xx/8.00 CORE + BOOT/STARTUP FILES located
in the root directory/folder of your boot drive/partition (C:\) contain VITAL
information for MS Windows 9x/ME GUI + MS-DOS 7.xx/8.00 OS PROPER operation.
MS-DOS looks for CRUCIAL OS settings in these files upon bootup:
- AUTOEXEC.BAT: AUTOEXECuted BATch, loads DOS commands/SET
commands/drivers/TSRs in memory, optional, text file, can be edited with
Notepad/Sysedit/EDIT.COM.
- COMMAND.COM: COMMAND interpreter, loads DOS environment/internal commands in
memory, Read-Only, MUST exist, binary file, canNOT be edited, also found in
C:\WINDOWS and C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND (default).
- CONFIG.SYS: CONFIGuration SYStem, loads DOS/Environment SHELL/SET
commands/devices/drivers/TSRs in memory, optional, text file, can be edited
with Notepad/Sysedit/EDIT.COM.
- IO.SYS: I/O SYStem DOS Kernel, loads BIOS I/O settings,
Read-Only/Hidden/System, MUST exist, binary file, canNOT be edited.
- MSDOS.SYS: MicroSoft DOS SYStem, loads Windows 9x/ME OS boot options/paths
settings, Hidden/System, MUST exist, text file, can be edited with
Notepad/EDIT.COM.

2. YOUR WINDOWS 95/98/ME REGISTRY DATABASE FILES [MUST exist, binary DATA
files, Hidden/Read-Only, can be edited with RegEdit.exe or a similar 3rd party
tool, but ONLY IF you have good knowledge of its structure!] located in your
main Windows 9x/ME folder (%windir% = default is C:\WINDOWS) contain VITAL
information for Windows 9x/ME (Win32) GUI PROPER operation.
Windows looks for CRUCIAL System/Hardware/Software/User settings in these
files upon GUI startup:
- SYSTEM.DAT
- USER.DAT
- CLASSES.DAT [x]
- SYSTEM.DA0 [*]
- USER.DA0 [*]
The Registry files are updated using current System/Hardware/Software/User
settings every time Windows 9x/ME starts.
[x] = This file is specific ONLY to Windows ME.
[*] = These files are the default Registry backups, specific ONLY to Windows
95 (retail), 95a OSR1 (upgraded with SP1), 95B OSR 2.0, 95B OSR 2.1 (upgraded
with USBSUP) + 95C OSR 2.5.
Windows 98, 98 SP1, 98 SE(U) + ME use a different Registry backup system:
automatically create a new backup set upon the first boot of each day. This
includes (default): CLASSES.DAT (WinME only), SYSTEM.DAT, USER.DAT, WIN.INI +
SYSTEM.INI.
These backups are stored (compressed) into 5 cabinet (.CAB) files: from
RD000.CAB to RD004.CAB (the newest overwrites the oldest), residing in
C:\Windows\Sysbckup (default).

3. YOUR WINDOWS 95/98/ME INTIALIZATION FILES [MUST exist, text files, can be
edited with Notepad/Sysedit/EDIT.COM] located in your main Windows 9x/ME
folder (%windir% = default is C:\WINDOWS) are kept for backward compatibility
with older 16-bit Windows/WfWG 3.xx (Win16) applications.
Windows looks for CRUCIAL System/Hardware/Software/User settings in these
files upon GUI startup:
- SYSTEM.INI
- WIN.INI
- CONTROL.INI
- PROTOCOL.INI

MAKE SURE YOU REPLACE ALL FILES LISTED ABOVE INTO YOUR WIN9X FOLDER WITH YOUR
BACKUP COPIES OUTSIDE THE WIN9X INTERFACE (GUI): EXIT WINDOWS TO THE
NATIVE/REAL/TRUE/PURE MS-DOS MODE COMMAND PROMPT TO DO THIS PROPERLY!
AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NOT INSTALLED/UNINSTALLED ANY PROGRAMS/GAMES, DRIVERS,
SYSTEM UPDATES/PATCHES ETC, BETWEEN THE TIME YOU MADE YOUR LAST BACKUP AND THE
TIME WHEN YOU RESTORE THE OLD FILES BACK! OTHERWISE YOU MIGHT EXPERIENCE
SYSTEM ERRORS/CRASHES !!!
THEREFORE IT IS RECOMMENDED TO BACKUP FREQUENTLY YOUR ENTIRE WINDOWS SYSTEM
[PREFERABLY THE ENTIRE DRIVE(S)] WITH ALL ITS FOLDERS, SUBFOLDERS + FILES, AND
ALWAYS KEEP YOUR BACKUP COPY UP TO DATE, ESPECIALLY AFTER MAKING ANY CHANGES!
