Installation Requirements:
        You will need to select a packet software interrupt number
        that is unused by the system. The most often selected is
        0x60 (hex).

Installation Proceedure:
        Run ibmexpkt without arguments and you will get the
        following usage statement:

   ibmexpkt [options] <packet_int_no> <io_addr> <Ethernet Address>
   -a -- Force driver to autonegotiate for full/half duplex operation.
   -h -- Force driver to operate in half duplex mode (the default).
   -f -- Force driver to operate in full duplex mode.
   -i -- Force driver to report itself as IEEE 802.3 instead of Ethernet II.
   -d -- Delayed initialization.  Used for diskless booting
   -n -- NetWare conversion.  Converts 802.3 packets into 8137 packets
   -w -- Windows hack, obsoleted by winpkt
   -p -- Promiscuous mode disable
   -u -- Uninstall

        The only requirement is to select an unused packet_int_number.
        The most frequently used is 0x60 (hex).

Other Information:

        1. The card must be enabled by POINTJET.EXE or CS20JET.EXE before
           starting ibmexpkt.com
        2. Only IO Mode is supported.
        3. If you are using multiple cards you must specify the I/O address
           of each card when started.
        4. The cable must be attached to the PC card for the card to be
           detected, and the cable must be attached to a working network
           before the driver will initialize.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
