You can execute the .EXE file to uncompress it. For example, there is a .exe file, abc.exe. You can uncompress it by the following instruction: abc The floppy by uncompressing includes these files are listed below. It will install the relative information of chipset automatically on your system. It will copy the inf file "ViaMach.inf" to the '\WINDOWS\INF\' and remove the related registry tree and then reboot the system. The order of parameter can not be violated, it must be "-b -s". Method 2: Run "setup -s". The same effect as Method 1 except the system will not reboot. Method 3: Click the SETUP.EXE program then it will install the relative information of chipset automatically on your system. It will copy the inf file "ViaMach.inf" to the '\WINDOWS\INF\' and remove the related registry tree and then select "Restart" or "Restart later". 4) OPK files ========= The files under "WIN95", "WIN98", "WIN98se", "WINMe" and "WIN2000" subfolder are for OPK used. 5) Package Version Identify ======================== You could check this distribuation version and release date by using the DATE\TIME displayed by using "dir setup.exe" command, e.g : SETUP EXE 73,728 03-08-00 1:00 SETUP.EXE The version number reads as 1.00, which was released on the date of 03/08/2000.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
