Overview ------------ This software is a Graphical User Interface program that runs under Win 95 or Win NT. It periodically polls the installed IOI-9XXXUWR adapters and reports on the following events: Device Errors Array or Device status change Special system events, such as resets Array configuration changes, such as rebuild to spare 4. Installation Procedures for Windows 95, OSR2 and Win NT ---------------------------------------------------------- 1. Insert the diskette into your floppy drive. 2a. Click on "My Computer". b. Click on "A:" c. Double click on "SETUP" and follow the on screen directions. 3. After the installation routine is completed, you will be prompted to reboot the system. 5. Uninstall Event Viewer ------------------------- Before unistalling IOI Event Viewer, the application must be stopped from running. 1. Windows 95,OSR2 Follow the listed steps to unistall IOI's Event Viewer: a. Press <CTRL>+<ALT>+<DEL> this will bring up the Task Manager. b. Click on "Eviewer" so that it becomes highlighted c. Click on "End Task" The Task Manager will then close d. Click "Start" on the Task Bar e. Click on "Control Pannel" f. Double click on "Add/Remove Programs" g. Click on "Eviewer" so it becomes highlighted h. Click on "Remove" and follow the on screen instructions. 2. Windows NT Follow the listed steps to uninstall IOI's Event Viewer: a. Press <CTRL>+<ALT>+<DEL> b. Click on "Task Manager" c. Click on "Processes" tab d. Click on "Eviewer" so it becomes highlighted e. Click on "End Process" f. Click on the "X" to close the window g. Click "Start" on the Task Bar h. Click "Control Panel" h. Double click on "Add/Remove Programs" i. Click on "Eviewer" so it becomes Highlighted j. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
