NETjet ISDN Modem Distribution CD

This CD contains all the necessary files and information to install the NETjet PCI ISDN
modem card in Linux, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP 
and Windows NT4 systems.
Also included on this CD is DOS-based diagnostic software to allow you to test your
NETjet card and ISDN line.
Please refer to the appropriate section below.

Also check the Traverse web site for the latest updates across all operating systems.
Outgoing ISDN DOV is currently supported under all operating systems.
Incoming ISDN DOV is ONLY supported under Linux.
If you intend using DOV (data-over-voice) then PLEASE read the file DOVreadme.html so
as to avoid any large and unexpected phone bills!

These drivers are free and are all downloadable from the Traverse web site.

The Windows drivers on this CD are all NDIS drivers. An additional CAPI driver for
W98/WME/W2K/WXP is available on CD directly from Traverse. This driver
supports outgoing/incoming DOV at 64/128K only and has a fast ping time of about 50ms.
It must be purchased from Traverse ($26 inc GST, shipping, CD and license fee).


1. Linux
---------
A copy of the Linux User Manual is on this CD. Please refer to this manual for installation
instructions:

The software in the Linux directory includes source code for the HiSax drivers and the 
ISDN4Linux Utilities, which include all mods for 64/128K and 56/112K DOV.
There is also an RPM for the Utilties, but it includes only the mod for 64/128K DOV.
There is currently no RPM for the HiSax driver.
Please read the manual carefully for details.
 
2. Windows 95
--------------
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT INSERT NETJET BOARD INTO THE PC BEFORE UPGRADING THE MICROSOFT DIAL-UP-NETWORKING
SOFTWARE WITH THE ISDN ACCELERATOR. THE FILE MSISDN11.EXE ON THIS CD IN THE WIN95 DIRECTORY
MUST BE RUN TO UPDATE THE MICROSOFT SOFTWARE. PLEASE REFER TO THE USER MANUAL FOR MORE 
INFORMATION.

7. Diagnostic
--------------
Copy the diagnostic software on to your hard disk or boot floppy, then execute it. Please enter 
the phone numbers as prompted.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
