Firmware Uploading To upload firmware, install the printer as normal on your Windows system. Execute the swcloader.exe application. Select the TTP10x0 printer from the drop-down box. Click the Select File button and find the correct firmware for your printer. See the list below. 1662 TTP 1020 (Parallel) 1641 TTP 1030 (USB/Serial) Click the Load as FW button. You will see the status light on the printer flash rapidly for a while. DO NOT INTERRUPT POWER DURING THIS PROCEDURE! When the firmware upload has completed, the printer will "click". Print a self-test page from the printer to verify that the firmware upload was successful (see Technical Manual for more information.) After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
