                    Trident OS/2  Capture Driver

                             October 1997

How to Install the Trident OS/2 Capture driver:
===============================================

        Before installation please make sure that the capture driver files
        are on:
        a.) A CD-disk 
        b.) The files have been copied to your local hard disk
        directory.(Eg: C:\CAPTURE)

        1.) Click on the "OS/2 system" folder on your OS/2 desktop.
        2.) Click on the "System Setup" icon.
        3.) Click on the "Install/Remove" folder.
        4.) Click on "Multimedia Application Install"
        5.) Select the drive and directory where the Trident OS/2
            capture driver has been placed.Eg: ( C:\CAPTURE)
        6.) Select the "Trident Video Capture" line that appears under
            the "Features" heading in the menu.
        7.) Click on the "Install" button.
        8.) Click on "YES" when the system prompts you to answer whether to
            modify your config.sys file.
        9.) Select the "1" when prompted to enter the number of Trident Video
            Capture Cards in use.
        10.) Click on "OK" to let the system continue the installation.
        11.) Once the installation is complete, shutdown the OS/2 system
            and reboot to begin using the Trident Capture card.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
