This XingMPEG Player installation is for Windows 95 and Windows NT
users.

Hardware Requirements
----------------------
This section describes the minimum and recommended hardware for
running the XingMPEG Player at its best.

Minimum
-------
The XingMPEG Player requires a 486 CPU with 8 MB RAM and Microsoft
Windows 95, or 16 MB RAM with Windows NT. If you want to play
audio, you need a standard windows compatible sound card with
current sound drivers. If you do not have a sound card, you can
still play video streams.

Recommended
-----------
The recommended configuration is a Pentium CPU with 16 MB RAM,
Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0, Video Accelerated VGA card
with current DirectDraw drivers, and a 16-bit sound card with
current sound drivers.

1 Turn on your computer and start Windows.
2 Choose "Run" from the Start menu; the "Run" dialog appears.
3 Type the path to the XingMPEG Player setup program
  (for example, "A:\SETUP" if you have an install disk in your
  PC's floppy drive "A"), and click the "OK" button; the XingMPEG
  Player setup program starts.
4 Follow the setup program's on-screen instructions.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
