For users running Linux, the SR .out and .dat files can be converted
into the format expected by Seismic Unix (SU), a public domain seismic
processing, analysis, and plotting package containing a wide variety
of useful data manipulation functions.

Currently SU and TKSU, a graphical front end to SU, are not available
for Windows. So, the sr2su-20.tgz gzipped tar file containing the
conversion programs is only included on the Linux distribution of the
software.

Before using these conversion programs, you must first untar the
sr2su.tgz file and recompile them. It is best if SU is already
installed on your system, although enough SU libraries have been
provided to successfully compile the conversion programs without it.

Once they are compiled, run srout2su and srdat2su with no command
line arguments for a help screen explaining the command line options.

Both TKSU and the conversion programs are available from the author of
TKSU at www.henrythorson.com. In addition, the gzipped file with the
SU conversion programs is also available from the download page of our
website www.symres.com.
