FILE: readme.txt Copyright (c), Symmetric Research, 2003 This directory contains various data conversion programs. They all convert the binary .out or .dat files produced by PARxCH acquisition programs such as simp and scope to other formats as described below. See the respective directories for even more readme.txt info. ASCII Convert to a simple ASCII format that can be read in by text editor programs such as notepad, emacs, vi, etc. Header information is given first, followed by the data with one column per channel. SUDS The Seismic Unified Data Structure (SUDS) is a standardized binary data format sanctioned by the IUGG/IASPEI organization. There are many downstream processing programs supplied by this organization that can be used to further analyze SUDS data. SU Seismic Unix (SU) is the format used by the public domain trace processing, analysis, and plotting package from the Colorado School of Mines. This analysis package includes processing such as migration. Because the CSM SU package is targeted at Linux, the PARxCH to SU converter is only available under Linux at this time. See the readme.txt file in the SU directory for more information.Download Driver Pack
