Install LAN Adapter Driver for Windows 95 . Open "Control Panel" -> "Networks" icons. . Select "Add adapter" -> "Have disk" items. Type the following (assume the driver is located at C:\WIN95) C:\WIN95 Select the driver for "ASIX AX88140 Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter". . Windows 95 will copy the driver files from the released driver disk. At this monent, Windows 95 will also copy the necessary files from the Windows 95 CD-ROM. Prepare your Windows 95 CD-ROM or floppies for this process. . After finishing file copy, Windows 95 will ask you to reboot the PC. Select YES . Restart the computer. . During Windows 95 bootup, Windows 95 will automatically detect the network adapter. You don't have to do anything at this point. . After this automatic process, Windows 95 should proceed to complete boot up process and your network adapter should work normally. . After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
