Update instructions for ComPoints running a firmware version LESS THAN 3.00
The ComPoint's factory default setting of DHCP has been changed
from "disabled" to "enabled". That means: resetting the configuration
forces a DHCP discovery on system restart.
You may change this behaviour by manually disabling DHCP.
IMPORTANT!
Update instructions for ComPoints running a firmware version BELOW 2.43
The ComPoint's configuration data (except passwords and local ACL entries)
will get lost, if upgrading from a firmware version BELOW 2.43.
IMPORTANT!
Update instructions for ComPoints running a firmware version BELOW 2.38
Versions below 2.38 have been shipped as two different image files (*.img):
a firmware file and a corresponding monitor file.
Nowadays the firmware is shipped as one file,
the ARtem firmware package (*.afw).
If you are running a ComPoint with firmware older than version 2.38,
you must first update this ComPoint to version 2.38,
before upgrading to any higher version!
Required steps for update
1. Start the ComPoint Manager.
Verify that all your installed ComPoints have been found.
2. You may check the firmware version of each ComPoint either
in the ComPoint Manager's "Extended view" or by opening
a user interface session and logging in.
The firmware version is displayed at the upper right of the window.
3. If you have verified all ComPoints to run firmware version 2.38 or higher,
you are ready to update them to version 6.05.
4. To update the firmware on your ComPoint, first select the ComPoint
you would like to update. Click the configuration menu and choose
"Load firmware". Browse the available firmware packages and select
the file cp-v6_05.afw in folder \cp-v6_05.
5. The ComPoint Manager now checks if the ComPoint could be updated using
this firmware file. If this is correct, the "Upload" button apears.
Clicking at this button starts downloading the firmware.
You may be asked to enter the Admin level password after clicking the
"Upload" button. In this case, enter the password and click "OK".
6. Verify the readme-snmp.txt file in folder SNMP for updates
of the ComPoint's supported MIBs.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
