SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION 1.1 About this software This driver supports the FEC W-Clients .11g * FEC W-Client USB .11g -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS 2.1 Operating System This Driver is for the Microsoft Windows 98 SE, Windows Me, Windows 2000 and the Windows XP Operating Systems. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. INSTALLATION NOTES 4.1 Standard Installation Windows Driver - For Windows 2000, XP, ME, and 98SE read the "FEC W-Client .11g Quick-Installation" - guide Insert the PC Card, choose the driver's INF-File and go ahead. ATTENTION: Don't make a automatic search for driver on the CD. May be the incorrect driver will be installed!! 4.2 Configuration Utility You can either install the Configuration Utility via the artem CD Wizzard or you can call directly the "FEC_W-Client_.11g\Win98-ME-2k-XP\Utility\Setup.exe" to install the Configuration Utility. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. TECHNICAL CONSTRAINTS * Cannot set TX rate for ADHOC. * The adapter mode of G only can scan 11B AP. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. KNOWN ISSUES 1. Driver: Setting up an adhoc then running a while, the connection will break off and must do these actions such as disable/enable ,the connection can be recovered. 2. Driver: Small fragment can't run more than 4hours. 3. Driver: When testing Nitro XM using XG302 and XG902 , the throughput from XG302 to XG902 is relative lower than from XG902 to XG302. 4. Driver: Under adhoc mode transmit Rate can't be setting unless pull-insert card. 5. Driver: Setup a 11b adhoc if set transmit is more than 11M, the throughput will up to more than 11M? 6. Driver: Can't connect linksys11g AP while other cards can. 7. Driver: From driver advanced page if selected Configuration profile is Mixed can only set up an 11g adhoc? 8. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
