functions for any application setup program that wants to install
the TOWITOKO CHIPDRIVE smartcard terminal drivers.

                 This is the ONLY file you will need to distribute
                 Simply start this setup to install the 'standard'
                 CHIPDRIVE drivers incl. CHIPDRIVE mouse support and
                 the PC/SC IFD Handler.

  SCBASE_D.EXE the PC/SC base components (german)
  SCBASE_E.EXE the PC/SC base components (english)
                 The base components are installed automatically under
                 Windows 95/98/ME/NT4 if a newer version isn't already
                 present. Before you try to install the components
                 manually, please read the section "PC/SC support"
                 below!

Functions provided by the 'OEM Core Setup Module'
-------------------------------------------------
  - detection of language (currently german and english are supported)
  - minimum GUI (configurable)
  - version checking of the driver files
  - removal of any older/existing TOWITOKO driver files
  - error report to the user in case of any problems
  - installation of all necessary driver files according to the
    operating system: Windows 95/98/ME/NT4 SP3/2000XP
  - installation of the mouse driver incl. the necessary registry
    entries. This is highly OS-dependant
  - installation of the PC/SC driver (IFD-Handler see below).
  - creation of a log-file: SETUPTWK.LOG in the windows directory
  - installation of the uninstall windows functionality
    START->Settings->System->Software->CHIPDRIVE...

Uninstall entries
-----------------
  The setup will ALWAYS create the appropriate uninstall entries.
  The user can access these through the standard Windows interface:
  START->Settings->System->Software->...
  The following keys are supported:
  * CHIPDRIVE device driver
    This will remove ALL CHIPDRIVE related files and registry entries
    including the other uninstall entries.
  * CHIPDRIVE mouse driver
    This will remove the CHIPDRIVE mouse driver only. This can be usefull
    especially if the COM-port is to be used for several devices, because
    the mousedriver will allocate the comport within the boot sequence.
  * CHIPDRIVE PC/SC driver
    This will remove only the PC/SC driver

Program options
---------------
  The setup module can be called in several ways to fullfill your special
  needs within another setup program:

  INSTALL OPTIONS

    SETUPTWK.EXE [nointro] [noexit] [nopcsc] [nomouse] [base|basealw]
                 [scn=OEM_NAME] [mcn=OEM_NAME]

    nointro: this option will skip the initial message box ('Do you
               want to install...')

    noexit: this option will skip the final message box
               ('Installation OK')

    nopcsc: this option will skip the PC/SC installation

    nomouse: this option will force the setup NOT to install the
               CHIPDRIVE mouse driver. It is not recommended to use
               this option any longer since V2.14.xx

    nobase: does not install the PC/SC base components, even if the
               files SCBASE_D.EXE or SCBASE_E.EXE are found in the
               current installation path.

    basealw: installs the PC/SC base components under Windows
               95/98/ME/NT4 without checking whether a newer version
               is already installed. However, under Windows 2000, the
               componets aren't installed either.

    scn=XXX this parameter can be used to replace 'CHIPDRIVE' in any
               context with your OEM name for the smartcard terminal.
               Spaces must be replaced by '_'.

    mcn=XXX this parameter can be used to display a PC/SC OEM
               manufacturer name

  UNINSTALL OPTIONS

    SETUPTWK.EXE uninstall [nointro] [noexit] [onlymouse] [onlypcsc]
                           [scn=OEM_NAME] [mscn=OEM_NAME]

    nointro: this option will skip the initial message box ('Do you
               want to install...')

    noexit: this option will skip the final message box
               ('Installation OK')

    onlymouse: this option will uninstall only the CHIPDRIVE mouse driver

    onlypcsc: this option will uninstall only the PC/SC drivers

    scn=XXX this parameter can be used to replace 'CHIPDRIVE' in any
               context with your OEM name for the smartcard terminal.
               Spaces must be replaced by '_'.

    mcn=XXX this parameter can be used to display a PC/SC OEM
               manufacturer name

PC/SC support
-------------
  Since driver version 2.13.05, the PC/SC interface is fully supported
  and available under Windows 95/98/ME and NT4/2000/XP. The CHIPDRIVE
  PC/SC driver fully fits into our driver structure. It can be used at
  the same time together with any of the other interfaces (CT-API,
  SCARD, NETS, ORGA, OCF etc.). The PC/SC driver does NOT occupy a
  COM port, but allows you to use any other device after disconnection
  of the CHIPDRIVE.

  Please note, that using the PC/SC interface under Windows 95/98/ME/NT4
  also requires the installation of Microsoft's PC/SC base components.
  Since 2.14.17 there is also a driver version available at our homeapge
  which includes the the files SCBASE_D.EXE (german) und SCBASE_E.EXE
  (english). The base componentes will be installed automatically under
  Windows 95/98/ME/NT, if a newer version isn't already present.

  Important: Since Windows 2000/XP already includes the latest version
             of the PC/SC base components, the CHIPDRIVE driver does
             not install them. Furthermore, you must never try to
             install the components manually, this will corrupt the
             system and a complete re-installation of Windows 2000/XP
             could become necessary!

CHIPDRIVE USB support
---------------------
  Since version 2.14.16 the driver also supports the USB versions of
  the different CHIPDRIVE models unter Windows 98 Second Edition,
  Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Older Windows version are
  not supported.

  The USB devices are accessed via a virtual COM port, this can be
  configured with the CHIPDRIVE Diagnosis Tool in the control panel
  This provides maximum compatibility with older applications, there
  are no changes necessary.

CHIPDRIVE Diagnosis Tool
-----------------------
  Since version 2.14.16 s diagnoses tool is installed to the control
  panel.
