> Firmware upgrade
If the firmware (version) of the device is equal to the firmware (version)
included in the afw file, a default configuration has been uploaded, but
  not the firmware.
The correct behavior is to upload neither the default configuration nor

> GUI: The list of interfaces in the "Option-Dialiog" has been sometimes
(depends on windows version) not shown completely.

This may result on some Windows versions in an error message:
  Cannot join multicast group...

> GUI: Firmware Upgrade Dialog: The flash date has been overwritten with
the application name after an upload.

> Sometimes no multicast packets are sent out of an interface. This undefined
behavior results in not finding network devices via the discovery protocol.
The devices are shown as "found(IP)" although they are reachable with the
  discovery protocol.

> If a net device has no firmware stored there may be some malfunction

     "mac address,ip address,host name, netmask, gateway address\n".
The host name is double-quoted if it contains the separator ",". The list can be
saved as txt-file or as csv-file. After loading the list from a file, all devices
which are still discovered are N O T updated according to the list entries in the file.

> Full support of all ARtem network devices. This support includes all devices
belonging to the ARtem Onair ComPoint Workgroup family and all already supported
devices belonging to the first-generation ComPoints and to the second-generation
  products ComPoint-II.

Bugfixes

Changes and Improvements
========================
> CPM disables the Telnet menu item if a ComPoint Workgroup is selected.

> CPM disables the "LoadFirmware" menu item, the "IP Setup" menu items and the IP
configuration with OnReturn and OnDblClick if discovery is in progress.

> After startup the first ComPoint in the list is selected.

> Edit menu: The name of the product family is shown instead of "item".

> Advanced search: if the request of the product name and/or the firmware version failed,
the firmware version is shown as 0.0 and the product name is shown as "unknown".

> After a firmware upload the upgrade dialog is closed if the user selects "reboot" or
set to "factory default". If user selects "restart later" the upgrade dialog remains open.

> After setting the IP configuration discovery starts to validate the new IP configuration.
The user is able to set this feature as an option in the Dialog "Option" Group "Ip-Settings"
  Checkbox "Start discover after IP-Setup".

> Half close after writing added to unstress the AM-Server.

> Discovery
Removed "User added" state. If the net device is added manually and has been found the
  state "discovered" is shown.
In brackets the user is informed if the net device is reachable via IP connection.
  - discoverd (*) tells the user that the net device has been found with the ARtem discovery
protocol and is reachable with an IP connection.
  - discovered (MAC) tells the user that the net device has been found with the ARtem
discovery protocol but is not reachable with an IP connection. In this
case the net device may have the IP address set to zero or has an IP address that does not
match the net id of the subnet.
  - discovered (IP) tells the user that the net device has not been discovered but is reachable
with an IP connection. In this case the net device is located in an other subnet.
The "not found" state in the device list is extended with the time in minutes since the device
  has been found lastly.

Bugfixes
========
> SoSend error message improved: if remote host sends a TCP-RST although the connection
  has been established.

> Getting the product name of a device may cause an Access violation.

> If the application has been minimized by the user and afterwards closed, the
application started minimized but could not opened with a click on the task button.

> Corrected status update if user adds a compoint, that is already in the list
  and can not be found!

> Shutdown the application may cause an "Access violation". Now the user maybe has to wait
several seconds (up to 30) after pressing Exit till the services are down.

> Error message: "Select timeout..." after setting the IP configuration atlthough the
IP configuration has been set successfully on the device.
Note: if this message comes up after IP-Setup the setting of the IP has failed definitly!

> Save configuration
If an invalid ComPoint node name is given an also invalid file name may
result. There is no error message shown in this case. Now the user gets
an error message if an invalid file name for the configuration file is given.
Please do not use "/ \ < > |" neither in node name nor in file name.

Notes
=====
> Configuration save
The upload of configuration is enabled in conjunction with ComPoint firmware
  versions greater than 3.00.

> IP configuration and DHCP
In conjunction with ComPoint firmware version greater than
3.00 the CPM offers the possibility to disable the DHCP client on the ComPoint:
If DHCP is up and running on the ComPoint and user of the CPM tries to
change the IP configuration of the ComPoint, the ComPoint will disable DHCP.
This operation may take some time and may be force an error message
like "Read select timeout". But this error is not critical. Although
getting this error message DHCP is disabled on the ComPoint. To avoid
this error message go to Option dialog and increase the discovery timeout.

Known Problems
==============
> Problems with ComPoint firmware versions above 2.73:
The first discovery is not able to get the firmware version of the ComPoints
because there is no password assigned to get this information. After first
discovery the user must specify a password to get this information. This is
  obsolete with ComPoint firmware 2.73!

> Under Win2k there might be problems running the CPM on a client (Laptop) which
loses the connection to a ComPoint for a undefined time. After reconnect to a
ComPoint the CPM might be unable to find any ComPoint.
Solution: Shutdown and restart the CPM OR choose Menu "Extras" Submenu "Options"
and click on "OK" in the "Options"-Dialog. After this the CPM must be find all
  installed ComPoints on the network.

If DHCP is up and running on the ComPoint and user of the CPM tries to
change the IP configuration of the ComPoint, the ComPoint will disable DHCP.
This operation may take some time and may be force an error message
like "Read select timeout". But this error is not critical. Although

    Known Problems
    - The ComPoint Manager (CPM) does not always discover a ComPoint, if the IP
address of the ComPoint is "0.0.0.0" and a router is between the ComPoint
and the host running the CPM.
    - Problems with ComPoint firmware versions above 2.73:
The first discovery is not able to get the firmware version of the
ComPoints because there is no password assigned to get this information.
After first discovery the user must specify a password to get this
information. This is obsolete with ComPoint firmware 2.73!
    - Under Win2k there might be problems running the CPM on a client (Laptop)
which loses the connection to a ComPoint for a undefined time. After
reconnect to a ComPoint the CPM might be unable to find any ComPoint.
Solution: Shutdown and restart the CPM OR choose Menu "Extras"
Submenu "Options" and click on "OK" in the "Options"-Dialog.
After this the CPM must be find all installed ComPoints on the network.
