ITK-38 Firmware Download Instructions

Downloading the Firmware to the printer:

1) Confirm that the printer is working correctly, has paper loaded and is connected to a
PC with an Parallel Interface cable marked with IEEE-1284.
2) Copy the firmware ZIP file to a separate directory and un-zip (extract) all the
files into that directory.
3) Turn the Printer OFF and then back ON, while holding both the F0 and F1 buttons
until a long beep is heard. Wait until the beep has finished. The printer is now
ready to receive the firmware download data.
4) Open a DOS shell and change to the directory where the files reside.
5) Type "LOAD" to invoke the batch file. Depending on the PC, the speed of the interface, etc.
this process will take from ~30 seconds to 1.5 minutes. The printer will reset automatically,
at the completion of a successful download. Refer to the printer's User's Manual for complete
details on this firmware download process.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
