This version extends the existing one by:
  1) Correcting the stop device issue through the taskbar icon
  2) Implementing the SSFDC format
  3) Implementing the drive property sheet
  4) Allowing virtually any kind of media to be taken into account, provided the
     icon is given in the registry
  5) Allowing the SSFDC format on any kind of card, through the registry

This version extends the existing one by:
  1) Implementing VID and PID protection mechanism
  2) Correcting some original bugs

How to install these drivers:
  When the demoboard is plugged for the first time on a Windows 2000 system, the native
  windows driver will be installed. To avoid this, there are two solutions:
  1) Plug the demoboard and let Windows install the native driver
      - then right click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop
      - choose the Properties menu
      - Go to Hardware tabsheet and choose Device Manager
      - Go to the USB controllers and double-click the device "USB Mass Storage Device"
      - Go to the Driver tabsheet and click "Update Driver"
      - Then follow the windows classical driver installation
  2) Remove the file usbstor.inf from the directory c:\windows\inf (and backup it
     elsewhere)
      - then plug the demoboard
      - Then follow the windows classical driver installation
      - replace the usbstor.inf file under c:\windows\inf

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
