Installation Instructions:
______________________________

1. Plug the USB97C210 device into a free USB 1.1 or 2.0 port on the host.

2. The "Found New Hardware" wizard will appear. Follow the instructions, and when prompted for the location of the driver, select "Specify Location".

3. Browse to the location of the USB97C210 Windows 98 Driver installation files (this folder) and press "OK".

4. Once you complete the Found New Hardware wizard, and the driver has loaded, you can open Windows Explorer and you should see 1 drive icon for each of the four flash media slots.  Windows will assign the first four unused drive letters (after C:), in the following order:
	Compact Flash / MicroDrive
	Memory Stick
	SmartMedia
	SD Card / MultiMedia Card

Known Issues:
______________________________________

1. On reboot, the Card Reader may need to be reconnected to the USB port to be recognized.
2. In Windows 98, the Flash Memory volume cannot be renamed.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
